Metal Processing
Metal Processing
Metalworking is the shaping and processing of metal materials using various manufacturing techniques. These processes allow metal materials to be made suitable for end use.
Metalworking processes are performed using many different methods. Some examples are:
Cutting: Cutting of metal materials is usually done with methods such as sawing, cutting machines, CNC cutting machines or laser cutting.
Bending: Metal materials can be bent using special presses or bending machines. This process is used to shape or bend metal parts.
Drilling: Metal materials are drilled using drill machines or CNC drilling machines. This process is used to open holes or shape metal parts.
Milling: Metal materials can be cut using milling machines. This method is used to cut and shape metal parts.
Forging: Metal materials can be shaped by heating with the help of special presses. This method is used to give metal materials special shapes.
Welding: Metal materials are joined by welding. Welding is a joining method used to join metal parts.
Metalworking is used in many industries. For example, it is used in sectors such as automotive, aviation, building materials, tool and machinery manufacturing, energy and defense industries. Metal processing ensures that materials are prepared appropriately for end use and increases the quality of products.
